Founder, Researcher, and Leading Voice in Genetic Health

Carolyn Ledowsky is a naturopath, herbalist, nutritionist, and the founder of MTHFR Support—a globally recognised clinic dedicated to helping individuals understand how their genetic makeup influences their health.

She is currently in the final year of her PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, where her research investigates the impact of folic acid versus methyl folate in couples with recurrent pregnancy loss. Her commitment to uncovering the truth behind genetic influences on fertility has placed her at the forefront of clinical and academic research in this space.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience working with patients and their genetics, Carolyn has developed a deep understanding of what truly works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to treating complex, chronic conditions. Her passion lies in identifying the root causes of illness, helping people who have long felt unheard or misunderstood finally get the answers they need.

Carolyn’s dedication doesn’t stop at her own clinic. She now coaches doctors and healthcare practitioners around the world, teaching them how to apply genetic insights to transform their clinical outcomes. Her methods are changing how practitioners understand and treat their patients—shifting entire practices toward more personalised, effective care.

But at the heart of her work is one thing: her patients.

Carolyn is known for her unwavering commitment to those she supports. She goes above and beyond, not for recognition or financial reward, but because she genuinely cares. She forms strong emotional connections with her patients, working tirelessly to improve their quality of life—and in many cases, to help them achieve the dream of starting or growing their family.

Her journey into genetics began with a simple question: Why were some patients showing unusually high folate levels in their bloodwork—despite poor dietary intake? The answers didn’t come from labs, specialists, or professors. So, driven by her natural curiosity and refusal to give up, she turned to biochemistry textbooks, attended conferences, and conducted years of research. It was at one such conference that she first heard the link between elevated folate levels and the MTHFR gene—a moment that set her on a path that would change the lives of thousands.

Today, Carolyn continues to be a pioneer in the field—combining science, compassion, and innovation to empower patients and practitioners alike.
